Register new domain for cold email marketing

You might be tempted to use your existing business email for cold email marketing, but you shouldn’t, you should protect your main business domain and email email reputation.

That’s why I recommend registering new domain with registrar like Namecheap to setup with Zoho for your cold email marketing campaign. I recommend one domain per every 3 sending email address.

Now getting email leads is crucial part of cold email marketing, obviously you wouldn’t get people interest if you send email to a bunch of untargeted individuals, or send to generic address that only gets ignored by gatekeepers.

Professional email marketers use B2B database like Zoominfo or Apollo.io to find targeted leads for their cold email campaign, however they can be expensive, especially if you’re just getting started.

Crafting Your Cold Email for Success

Now depending on what you sell, you have to remember, the purpose of cold email is to get people interested and start a conversation with you, so you should be focusing on getting their reply for your invitation to send them more info, setup a quick call or zoom meeting.

Here’s an example of a my email sequence, let’s assume I would like to introduce my leads generation services to business owners:

Look, I’m not asking them to pay me or buy my stuff immediately, all I do is asking them if I could send them more info about my services, and this is also one of the template that got me 13% reply rate.

What if they didn’t reply? Well you can send them follow ups every 2 to 3 days, which I did and my entire reply rate for this campaign is more than 21%, imagine how many leads you can get with your business for that. Here’s my simple follow up email template:

Simple and straight to the point, and again I am never selling before getting a response. I usually send 3 to 4 follow ups in total, which the sweet spot I’ve found so that I’m able to get most replies of all email I sent.
