I wanted to confess, I’ve never finished a book for the past 22 years. No, I’m not kidding, although I’ve bought probably more than 30 books, not yet including ebooks on Kindle device, I was unable to read even half of the book content. I also made a lot of reading plans, but I can’t even achieve one percent of my goal. This is going to be my last plan, which is a challenge of reading one book per week for the next 52 weeks.

Why such challenge?

This is by far the most intensive reading challenge for me, I’ve tried to set “smaller goals” it just doesn’t work for me. I believe if I could follow this challenge I would be able to become a more disciplined person, and that’s what I lack but most needed in mine career. Furthermore, I’m a big believer that reading is one of the most crucial habits that anyone who wanted to be successful must possess. According to this article from Elle Kaplan on HuffingtonPost, shows you how to adopt reading habits that ultra-successful people share, and these billionaires probably read more books than you.

Books I’m going to read

I’m not a fan of the fiction novel, reading books to me is self-improvement instead of entertainment. In short, I’ll be only reading books that got my interest, and that’ll be something about business, investing, productivity, or any career advancement related books.

What’s more?

Upon completion of reading each book, I’ll be posting a short review that consists the core ideas I’ve learned from the book, as well as if I recommend anyone else to read. It’s also a good way to keep track of all the books I’ve read, and I’ll be able to quickly recall what’s is it about by looking back at my own review.
